Areas of Expertise

  • Learning differences in reading, writing, and math (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia).
  • ADD/ADHD.
  • Processing disorders.
  • Executive functioning (e.g, age-appropriate skills needed to be productive and organized).
  • Social and emotional functioning, such as anxiety and depression.
  • Social cognition and social pragmatics (e.g. autism, Asperger's).
  • Other medical or developmental conditions affecting the brain and behavior.


My Approach

  • Talking with parents to understand their questions and gather information about their child's development.
  • Conversations with teachers, specialists, and health providers to understand the child or teen.
  • Review of academic records as well as previous assessments and interventions.
  • Several hours of standardized testing tailored to the family's questions and child's specific needs.
  • Feedback with parents to help understand their child's strengths as well as areas for growth and support.
  • Feedback with teachers, specialist teachers, and providers.
  • Age-appropriate feedback with the child or teen.
  • A final report outlining the diagnosis and specific recommendations.
  • Support with establishing a plan to support the child or teen with their educational journey and with their mental well-being, i.e., interventions, accommodations, school placement, or outside support.
  • Ongoing consultation and refinement of a child's support plan, as needed.
